Now Is The Time For Moral CourageNo Kings was more than a day of mass defiance; it is a sign that we're in a season of moral courage
Mass mobilizations like No Kings Day are always about more than a day. Seven million Americans took to the streets in every major US city and hundreds of towns and villages this weekend to say, “Enough.” They were making a public commitment to stand against tyranny. I was glad for the chance to talk with my friend Ali Velshi on MSNBC about how mass mobilizations are always about educating the public, inspiring moral imagination, and instilling courage for people to take a moral stand for truth and justice every day of the week. Tomorrow, moral leaders in communities across the nation will practice moral courage by hosting Moral Monday pray-ins with people at risk of losing their healthcare because of cuts to Medicaid and ACA premium tax credits. You can register to learn about the Moral Monday closest to you. And you can watch a livestream of the Moral Monday where I will be at 11am ET tomorrow.
