Today marks a momentous anniversary in our nation’s history. On this day in 1776, the Declaration of Independence (having been signed just a few days earlier on July 4) was read publicly for the first time on the steps of Independence Hall in Philadelphia.

After all the Founding Fathers did to unite our nation, can you imagine what they would think of the divisiveness in our country today?

I often think about the risks they took to create the greatest nation on earth. Declaring independence from England could’ve gotten them executed for treason! But they took the risk and did what was right, because that is the American way.

What pains me is that Democrats have not only forgotten our founding principles, but they have rejected them entirely, continuing to pull our country further to the left every day.

Our Right to Bear Arms and the Right to Life are fundamental, yet the Democrats ignore or infringe upon them every day. The American Dream is for hardworking American citizens - not illegal immigrants who Democrats want to open our borders to and give them free healthcare and education.

I am reaching out today because our constitutional freedoms and the values upon which our country was founded are UNDER ATTACK, and I need your help to protect them.
