Working Families Party

Hi John, it's Adelita Grijalva. I want to thank the Working Families Party for giving me the chance to reach out to you directly.

Last month, voters overwhelmingly rejected the MAGA agenda and chose me to represent them in Congress in Arizona’s 7th District special election. With so much at stake, I came to Washington ready to get to work.

But instead of swearing me in, Speaker Mike Johnson cancelled session and sent members home — not only delaying my ability to take office, but also allowing the government to shut down without even letting the House work toward a solution.

That’s how far Republicans are willing to go to block me from serving. Republicans know that once I’m sworn in, it won’t just chip away at their razor-thin majority — I will become the decisive 218th signature to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files.

This is nothing more than a desperate power play to protect Trump while denying the people of my district a voice in Congress when it’s needed the most.

As Speaker Johnson drags this out, we’re going to prove that our grassroots power can’t be silenced. Each day he continues to delay, we’ve set a goal of raising $10,000 to keep our momentum going as we work to take back the House in 2026.

John, will you split a donation of $10 or whatever you can afford today between my campaign and the Working Families Party to help us fight back and make sure their obstruction backfires?

Juntos,

Adelita S. Grijalva
Congresswoman-Elect
Arizona's 7th District
