Thank you for coming to No Kings in San Francisco yesterday! We held our biggest, safest march ever—we estimate at least 100,000, maybe as many as 144,000. That means that between 1-in-9 and 1-in-6 people in this city marched with us today. We’re so proud of all of our organizers, volunteers, and YOU, our lovely attendees, for holding a joyful event.

Civic Center Plaza got too packed (again) because it just can’t hold our numbers, so you might have missed the rally or couldn’t hear it. We’re still working on getting the audio right! But in the meantime,
here’s the livestream of the rally ([link removed]) for you to watch.

Pro Bono Photo’s beautiful photography of the event ([link removed]) can be found here. We also have some wonderful visuals from drone videographer Dan Dunn who worked this event for 50501 SF; here’s one amazing picture of only a portion of our crowd, just before the march began:

** What did we accomplish?
------------------------------------------------------------

No Kings is meant as a visibility event. This means its purpose is to show that our many communities are in solidarity for democracy and freedom, and against the Trump regime. There are so many of us, and we are ready to act, each in our own way and all together. As the line goes, “We have friends everywhere.”

We are hoping that this event inspires you to get involved in organizing to achieve the America we dream of, one of liberty, justice, and prosperity for all.

** What do we do next?
------------------------------------------------------------

We’ve shown the city that we’re here and we’re strong. We are building our power. We’re doing this so we can overpower MAGA. Here’s how we start.

Your first action is to vote Yes on Prop 50. Right now. Put down this email, fill out your ballot, and put it in the nearest ballot dropbox TODAY. With more than 100,000 people marching in SF yesterday and even more statewide, if every one of us votes yes on Prop 50, we will win this. Prop 50 is how we start to take back power in Congress.

Your second action is to prepare your community for escalation. San Francisco is currently a target for federal National Guard deployment and escalating ICE raids. We are working on a plan to protect our communities.

We need you. Here’s the plan. ([link removed])

1. The day federal invasion or mass ICE raids start, we rally at Embarcadero Plaza at 5 PM.
2. Sign up for our Rapid Response Signal hotline ([link removed]) to be ready. We will also post other rapid response events to this hotline. This is a very low-traffic, no-discussion Signal group—we won’t blow up your phone without a reason.
3. Starting the next day after our rapid-response rally, we will begin holding vigils outside of local libraries to spread Know Your Rights information, teach people how to form noncooperation pods, and more. We need YOU. If you want to hold such an event outside of your local library, and whether you’re ready today or want to learn how, email us at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected])
4. Come to our general meeting next Sunday, October 26, where we will be discussing our strategy and more detail. Space is limited; RSVP here. ([link removed])

Can’t wait to protest again? We hold weekly Trump Regime Takedown protests every Saturday 12–2 PM at 999 Van Ness. Come join us! We bring the same joyful energy you saw at No Kings. Make noise, hand out flyers, and network with some of the best local organizers in the city.

See you at Trump Regime Takedown! ([link removed])

There are many other ways to get plugged in. There’s so much going on in America right now, and so many fronts need your support. Our suggestion: pick a lane that interests you and stick with it. Here’s our Calls-To-Action page ([link removed]) to help you pick an initiative!

Lastly, putting on major marches like this costs money—from printing to permits, from bullhorns to bumper stickers, this gets expensive real fast. Please donate to Indivisible SF and 50501 SF ([link removed]) so we can keep doing this and keep improving.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for making No Kings a success. If we keep fighting, with joy and power, we will win.

Keep Fighting,

The Indivisible SF Team ([link removed])
