October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor the brave fighters and survivors battling this disease across the country. Their courage is inspiring, and their fight deserves our full support. 

But while we raise awareness, President Trump and his cabinet have slashed cancer research funding, putting countless lives at risk and undermining hope for breakthroughs and cures. Cutting billions from the National Cancer Institute and related programs is nothing short of a slap in the face to every person fighting cancer and their families. 

Our nation should be investing in life-saving research, not focusing on bogus science to fit an agenda. 

I’m committed to fighting back against these dangerous cuts and advocating for the funding necessary to accelerate cancer research and save lives. 

Together, we can make sure no politician’s budget decisions get in the way of hope and healing.
