Molly’s story is what real public service looks like. She’s an ER nurse, community organizer, and at 34, the youngest (and most progressive) member of the Texas Senate.
She saw what was broken in her community — so she ran to fix it. She’s had an abortion in Texas and knows what’s at stake for reproductive rights. She’s treated patients harmed by polluting corporations and unsafe infrastructure, so she fights for environmental reform and safer roads.
She consistently shows up where it matters — for people, not corporations. She strikes with workers, attends community events, and makes herself accessible to her constituents. Just last month, she hosted 9 town halls — while some members of Congress go years without hosting a single one.
And she doesn’t just talk — she delivers. In her first year, she’s already passed several major laws and brought home $100M in investments to her community.
She’s also a lesson in bold, unapologetic leadership in action — and Democrats everywhere should take notes. When Texas Republicans redrew districts to suppress voters, Molly walked out of the statehouse to break quorum — then went straight back to her district to knock doors, organize, and educate her community on what was at stake. When GOP leaders prioritized gerrymandering over urgently needed flood relief, she called them out over and over again — just one of the many times she’s gone viral for holding MAGA accountable.
Molly represents everything the Democratic Party should be: authentic, courageous, and unafraid to fight for what’s right or to take on Trump and MAGA.
But Molly won her last primary — beating a Democrat who wanted to arm teachers — by just 74 votes. And with everything at stake right now, we can’t afford to lose a leader like her.
