Team, what's happening at the border is in direct conflict with our values, and it's important we hold the politicians who are allowing it accountable.

We have children in cages, babies being separated from their parents, and people living in inhumane conditions in detention centers. Instead of working to find a humane solution that keeps families together, Senator Cornyn has taken over $80,000 ($38,600 this year alone) from for-profit corporations running detention centers.

Sign our petition calling on Cornyn to stop taking money (and return the funds he's taken) from the corporations running these inhumane detention centers.

For decades, career politicians have refused to fix our broken immigration system, and the consequences of their finger-pointing and inaction directly affect our day-to-day lives in Texas.

It's time we had a senator who will bring some common sense to the issue - starting with immediately ending child separation, stopping the indefinite detention of children and families, ensuring asylum seekers are not treated as criminals and their claims are properly processed, securing the border, and building a path to citizenship for undocumented residents that prioritizes our security and reflects our core values as Americans.

Join us in calling on Senator Cornyn to do what's right and stop taking donations (and return the funds he has taken) from corporations running detention centers.
