John —

I want to pull back the curtain on how most politicians running for the
U.S. Senate raise money.

Most Senate candidates — in both parties — start their campaigns locked in
windowless rooms doing “call time.”

They don’t do big public events. They don’t invest early in on-the-ground
organizing. Instead, they spend hours on the phone calling mega-donors to
ask for thousands of dollars at a time.

It’s soul sucking. But that’s what most DC consultants and party
establishment operatives tell you is required to win.

We’re throwing out that playbook. Yes, we’ll need to raise money — but it
doesn’t have to be at the expense of talking to the Texans we seek to
represent.

That’s why we’re investing in a grassroots campaign.

Folks like you power this movement. We’re not beholden to billionaires and
corporate interests.

I’m betting that if we run a campaign people can believe in — one that
breaks the rules and puts people first — folks will do their part to
ensure we have the resources to win.

[ [link removed] ]If you agree that this is the right way to run a campaign, I hope you
will consider donating to support our movement today. Every dollar helps
keep me on the road meeting Texans.
