Email from 40 Days for Life He withstood three attempts on his life John, Abortion is only successful when a baby dies. But some babies survive their abortion appointments. And that's very inconvenient for abortion supporters... ...because the existence of abortion survivors makes it hard to dehumanize unborn babies. No wonder so many pro-abortion politicians oppose legal protections for abortion survivors or even endorse outright infanticide. On her recent visit to Whitefish, Montana, our outreach director and former Planned Parenthood manager Ramona Trevino met a 40 Days for Life participant who survived THREE attempts on his life. Tragically, the abortion did kill his twin sister. But the survivor is providing a voice for her and for all victims of violence in the womb. After addressing volunteers at a local church, Ramona headed for the right-of-way in front of the abortion facility to pray. "So many have stepped up to help with the campaign," Ramona noted. "This is a very tight-knit community of people across different faith backgrounds who show up for the unborn." With just two weeks left, it's time to SPRINT toward the finish line. How many hours can you pray before the campaign wraps up on November 2? 40daysforlife.com/locations Helena, Montana Ramona's visit to Big Sky Country began in Helena, where she met a trio of students who skipped school to hear her speak. "They reassured me that their teachers had given their blessing to miss class," Ramona said. "Their school is very supportive of pro-life activities and activism." Several more young people were also in attendance--just the latest report of an infusion of youth into 40 Days for Life campaigns. Pastor Dave opened the rally in prayer, sharing that his first two children were lost to abortion. After receiving healing and forgiveness, he committed himself to speak up about the dignity of human life from the pulpit, at the sidewalk, and in personal conversations. When it was Ramona's turn to address the crowd, a neighbor who wanted to interfere with the rally decided to run a leaf blower for the duration of the event. "Little did he know that God blessed me with a loud mouth for such a time as this, and I was able to project my voice over the loud hum of his lawn and garden tools!" Ramona quipped. Missoula, Montana Ramona's trek through Montana continued in Missoula, where she was greatly impressed by Diane's leadership. "Diane is a faithful, dedicated, and fearless leader," Ramona gushed. Before speaking at an area church, Ramona joined the vigil to pray. That's where she met another very young couple, John and Courtney, who were praying at the abortion facility for the first time. "They both proudly held 40 Days for Life signs as they shared how important this issue is to them," Ramona said. "That conviction is what brought them out to pray. Although they couldn't stay for my presentation, they were committed to help Diane fill her vigil." Ramona met an even YOUNGER volunteer at the vigil, this one just 11 years old! Her presence made such an impact that a man who drove by and flipped off 40 Days for Life participants returned to apologize for making the gesture in front of children. Maybe it's the first step of a conversion! While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.” --Luke 15:20 Jesus, you have given us good pastors to lead your faithful. We thank you for their guidance and service, and we ask you to give them renewed strength. Help them to follow you with steadfast devotion. Guide their every action and give them the words to say to bring many people back to you. Amen.
