Barack Obama has stepped in to provide the kind of human decency that Donald Trump is clearly incapable of.
We now know Obama called George Floyd’s family to offer comfort for the heartbreak that’s gripped a nation, telling them “I want you to have hope. I want you to know you are not alone. I want you to know that Michelle and I will do anything you want me to do.”
When Donald Trump called, George Floyd’s brother Philonise said he didn’t even get the chance to speak.
It’s as clear a contrast as we’ll ever get between the two leaders -- but it makes us glad to know President Obama is still around to remind us we’re not alone. Are you as grateful as we are that Trump isn’t the only president on the national stage? Tell us:
