Right now, millions of Americans are taking to the streets for No Kings Day — a national day of protest declaring that this country belongs to the people, not to Donald Trump or any would-be king.

I joined Coloradans marching here in our state today, shoulder to shoulder with families, workers, and students — all united by one message: America will never kneel to a dictator.

In the theme of No Kings, I can’t help but think of something Lauren Boebert once said: she’s “tired of the separation between church and state.”

That’s what this movement is fighting against. America was founded in opposition to the dictates of any king, crown, or church. But that’s exactly what Boebert and Trump want — a Christian nation ruled by King Trump and enforced by MAGA extremists.

We’re not bowing. Because America is a democracy, and we choose to keep it.
