Mike Johnson wants you to believe this shutdown is some kind of political game that Democrats wanted to get back at Trump. But here's the truth: this shutdown was orchestrated by Republicans. Just take a look at what GOP “leadership” really looks like right now:
1️⃣ Trump wanted this shutdown. He said he wanted to make it hurt for people—and that's exactly what's happening. Families are missing paychecks, services and vital programs are frozen, and communities are paying the price for his chaos.
2️⃣ Mike Johnson and House Republicans haven't shown up for work since September 19th. They control the House, yet they’ve kept it in recess and blocked Democrats from working to fix the mess the GOP created.
3️⃣ They're so obsessed with holding onto power that they refuse to swear in a duly elected Democrat from Arizona. They're literally keeping a seat empty just to cling to their slim majority.
And while Republicans play politics, millions of Americans are left vulnerable and waiting with no end in sight. That means federal workers continue to go without pay, parents lose out on nutrition programs, seniors see delays, and small businesses struggle to stay afloat.
Make no mistake, john: This shutdown is GOP-created and GOP-maintained. Kim is fighting every day to show up, do the work, and put people first, but she needs you to stand with her at this moment.
