I’m running for governor because California needs bold leadership from
someone who knows what it means to live the promise of California.

I came to California for job opportunities, for a place to raise my
family, and for a state where my kids could thrive. But that promise is
slipping away for too many families.

The cost of living keeps rising and the housing crisis has only gotten
worse. As governor, I will be focused on making sure California continues
to be what it was for my family and what I want it to be for my kids:

A place where you can get a great education, find a good job, and afford
to stay through retirement.

That won’t happen through business-as-usual politics. It requires leaders
who are not afraid to challenge the status quo. That’s what I did in
Congress—holding Wall Street, Big Oil, and Trump’s cronies accountable in
public hearings.

I’m running for governor to take that experience to Sacramento and fight
for families like my own. But to help the Californians being squeezed the
hardest, we need serious resources.
