It's another example of the weaponization of the Department of Justice

Hi John,

We've already seen James Comey, former director of the FBI and longtime critic of President Trump, be indicted. The case is so thin that a Trump-appointed career prosecutor resigned rather than prosecute Comey because there wasn't enough evidence, and a former member of Trump's personal legal team took over.

Now, Letitia James, the New York Attorney General who prosecuted Trump for fraud, has been indicted for mortgage fraud. The prosecution is, again, not being led by a career prosecutor but rather by a former White House aide and personal lawyer to Trump.

Once is an accident. Twice is a pattern. And the pattern is clear: Trump, and by extension US Attorney General Pam Bondi, are using the Department of Justice to punish Trump's enemies.

That is not how a system of actual justice works. Weaponizing law enforcement to silence critics and protect themselves is a hallmark of corrupt systems.

When the House returns after the government shutdown, Pam Bondi will face questions from the House Judiciary Committee. She MUST answer for the continuing weaponization of the DOJ, including the prosecution of Letitia James.

Tell your member of Congress to press her for answers. We deserve to know the truth.
