Americans are Suffering under the Schumer Shutdown

We are now more than two weeks into this Democrat-led government shutdown, and they continue to keep the government closed. Democrats vote 11 times now against funding the government and paying our troops. This shutdown is having devastating consequences on millions of Americans around this country, and tens of thousands here in Louisiana.

The public can go see who's voting to keep the government open, who's voting to shut it down.

You can see who has been voting to pay our troops, who has been voting to pay our TSA agents, and Border Patrol agents. Thankfully, President Trump found a way to pay our troops temporarily. 

Chuck Schumer and his Democrat colleagues who are doing this need to look themselves in the mirror and start working for the American people instead of being so concerned about appeasing their far-left radical base. 

Today many radical Democrats will be celebrating their decision to shutdown the government at their “Hate America” rallies across the country, while millions struggle going without pay. It’s shameful to put politics over the needs of the American people. Read more in my FoxNews.com op-ed.

Honoring Charlie Kirk

Earlier this week, I attended a moving ceremony where President Trump posthumously issued the Medal of Freedom to Charlie Kirk. Charlie's incredibly brave widow, Erika, was there to receive it on his behalf and gave a powerful speech. 

Charlie has inspired a generation of young people by challenging the status quo and standing up for his beliefs. His legacy will live on in his friends, family, countless followers, and in the movement he built and energized.
