Hey John, I have good news and bad news:
First, the good news: The FDA just approved a generic version of the abortion pill mifepristone. That’s progress. 💪
But here's the bad news: While we move forward, the GOP’s charging backward. Every single male Republican senator (yes, every one of them) just signed a letter to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. demanding new restrictions on mifepristone.
They want control. Over women’s bodies, families, choices.
Let’s be clear: Deciding when or whether to become a mother should be between a woman and her doctor. Not politicians. 🙅♀️ If you agree, help me tell extremist Republicans to shove it by pitching in $5 now.

Since the FDA approved this generic version, RFK Jr. is now launching a so-called “safety review” of mifepristone based on a junk study from a right-wing think tank. Not peer-reviewed. Not credible. Garbage.
The facts are crystal clear: 100+ studies over 30+ years and across dozens of countries say mifepristone is safe. This isn’t about safety – it’s about politics. RFK Jr. and extremist Republicans want to ban abortion.
Trump lit this fuse when he stacked the Supreme Court with anti-abortion Justices. His justices overturned Roe and states banned abortion – just like he wanted.
Now, women’s lives are on the line. States are threatening to prosecute doctors who care for women with high-risk pregnancies. Others are forcing women to stay pregnant against their will – even in medical emergencies.
A woman’s right to make her own health care decisions is sacred and non-negotiable. Period. I voted NO on RFK Jr.’s confirmation, and I’ll never let junk science or political zealots dictate women’s health care.
Democrats must do everything we can to protect this fundamental right. I believe that if you are not willing to do whatever it takes to protect abortion rights when they are on the line, then you cannot call yourself pro-choice. It’s that simple.
If you’re with me, will you pitch in a few bucks to push back against these extremist Republicans and stand up for reproductive freedom?
