Today the
Supreme Court handed the Trump administration yet another unjust victory.
In a 7-2 ruling, employers are now allowed to refuse birth control
coverage if they have moral or religious objections, tossing the
Affordable Care Act’s provision out the window.

Experts estimate that up to 126,000 people could lose access to
contraceptive coverage due to this ruling. That’s what we’re facing in
2020.

This fight isn’t over. From contraceptive coverage to unemployment during
a pandemic, it’s clear that our system of centering employer-sponsored
health insurance is fundamentally broken.
