John,
When we launched this campaign, a lot of folks in Washington didn’t think
a grassroots, people-powered campaign could compete with a
corporate-backed one.
But this past quarter, we proved them wrong.
Our campaign raised $1.77 million in Q3, powered by over 23,000
contributions.
95% of those donations were less than $100.
We’re the strongest progressive campaign in this race.
The only candidate who out-raised us is bankrolled by AIPAC or corporate
PACs.
That tells you everything you need to know about what we’re up against.
But it also tells us something else: We can win this.
We’ve built a movement that doesn’t answer to corporate lobbyists or
billionaire donors — it answers to working people.
And when we raise this kind of money, it allows us to reach more voters,
build our organizing program, and share our vision for a Michigan and an
America that finally work for working people.
But it also puts a huge target on our campaign.
The establishment is already preparing to throw everything they have at
us.
They see how we’re gaining ground, and they’re scared of what it means
when working people start taking their power back.
So we can’t stop for a second, especially not when our primary date could
be three months sooner than we expected.

We’ve shown the doubters that this campaign is the real deal. But whether
we win this primary and go on to flip this Senate seat will come down to
what we do together in moments like this.
Thank you,
Abdul
