In the aftermath of devastating earthquakes in both Afghanistan and Myanmar, the resilience of women and girls is being tested like never before. Their lives have been upended, with families struggling to access basic necessities such as clean water, food, and shelter.

We are still on the ground in both regions mobilizing all efforts to provide lifesaving care and support to the millions who remain displaced. But we cannot do this without your help.

Your support today can reach women like Zainab in Afghanistan and Than in Myanmar by supporting mobile health teams who are able to reach isolated communities where mothers, pregnant women, babies, and families are suffering.

During emergencies, women and girls are frequently overlooked, receiving lifesaving support last, making them extremely vulnerable to violence, hunger, and exclusion from humanitarian aid. We need your help to continue this critical work. That’s why we are asking:

UNFPA urgently needs donations to support critical, lifesaving relief to women and girls in earthquake-affected areas. Will you step up to provide a lifeline for those in need? [[link removed]?]

PROVIDE A LIFELINE [[link removed]?]

Zainab shared, “We have lost everything. I am pregnant, my children are still nursing their injuries, we have no proper shelter, and my husband does not have any source of income to sustain us. Life is very hard for us now.”

She is especially grateful for the UNFPA Mobile Health Team that has provided prenatal care to ensure that she and her unborn child are healthy.

Zainab receives a clean delivery kit from a midwife of the mobile health team. The kit ensures that Zainab will have clean supplies to deliver safely should she give birth outside of a health facility during the emergency situation.

Our mobile clinics are able to reach survivors in remote communities, and are especially critical bringing women and girls relief and a sense of safety. Than told us, “The medical team treated us with such warmth and care, particularly women and girls who were traumatized by the disaster. For the first time since the earthquake, I finally felt safe again.”

Your support can help provide immediate relief to those in need in Afghanistan, Myanmar, and where women and girls need it most, and allow us to scale up our response to meet the urgent needs of displaced families and survivors.

Your donation can help us sustain these mobile health teams, ensuring that no woman has to face childbirth alone and that every family has access to the medical care they desperately need. Please consider making a gift today to support women and families in crisis. Your contribution can make an immediate impact in saving lives. [[link removed]?]

PROVIDE A LIFELINE [[link removed]?]

All gifts of all sizes help bring us closer to a world where every woman and girl has the opportunity to live in dignity and without fear.

Your compassion today can make a world of a difference.
