President Donald Trump has pushed Indiana, Missouri and Texas, all of which have a similar political profile to South Carolina, to eliminate as many of the seats held by Democrats as possible. I applaud him for doing that. But when I called for the elimination of South Carolina’s lone Democrat through redistricting, my phone didn’t ring off the hook from my fellow S.C. Republicans. I must ask: Why not?”
