Last week, I stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the American Federation of Government Employees and hundreds of federal workers and their supporters in downtown Chicago.

These are the people who keep our country running — the ones processing benefits, protecting our communities, and serving families across the country. And right now, many of them aren’t getting paid.

Trump and his Republican allies shut down the government to advance their cruel agenda: cutting Medicaid, SNAP, and healthcare while pouring billions into ICE and tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.

Meanwhile, the people who make this country work are going without.

Working families shouldn’t be forced to bear the brunt of Republican greed — and we will never stop fighting for a government that values their workers over playing political games.

This rally wasn’t just about paychecks — it was about power. The power of working people saying enough.

Together, we’re building a movement that refuses to be silenced or sidelined. That’s why I will be out at today’s No Kings rallies. Hope to see you there!
