Hey there — I’m Jason Mann. (Most people just call me “Hannah’s husband.” You can too.)
Today is Hannah’s birthday. Don’t worry, I’m not writing in a panic, looking for a good gift idea. (That was a few days ago…)
No, it’s because this year, her birthday feels different.
When you launch a campaign, one of the first tasks is to tell the world who you are. So we’ve both been looking back at the years leading up to this one: when she was a tenacious, sweet little kid; when she knocked on thousands of doors and got elected to the State House; when her colleagues, responding to her leadership, made her Speaker of the House at only 32 years old.
But I’m also looking back at who she’s been in my life. The most reliable person I know. The one opinion that means more to me than any other. An incredible role model and source of love and support for me and our amazing kids.
I’m so lucky.
This year, on her birthday, she’s out in communities across Maine, attending No Kings rallies, talking to Mainers of all ages, doing the work that we want all of our public servants to do: really listening to people.
(We’re saving the cake for when she gets home. I promise.)
If you want to celebrate her birthday with us, the best way to do that is to support our campaign. Whatever you can afford to give will help, whether it’s $5 or $500, it will make a difference. https://hannahforgovernor.com/[email protected]
Thank you for helping us celebrate,
Jason
