Friend,
As Hispanic Heritage Month 2025 came to an end this week, I am reflecting on the treatment of Latinos and immigrants in this country by the Trump Administration. Across the country, many communities are reluctant to celebrate this month out of fear of ICE raids – a painful reminder of the impact this administration is having on all of us.
Yet, even though this moment feels dire, I am always filled with pride, optimism and hope–hallmark values that latinos embrace. Hispanic Heritage Month gives us a chance to acknowledge the contributions we make and the fact that we have always been an integral part of this nation.
At America’s Voice, we tell the important stories celebrating the culture, contributions, and accomplishments of the Latino and immigrant communities that make up the diverse fabric of our nation. But we can’t do it without your support.
As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, please consider donating to America’s Voice to help us continue this important work year-round.
The mission of AV is to build the public support and the political momentum needed to enact common-sense policy changes that secure freedom and opportunity for immigrants in America–but we can’t do it without you. Despite the current hurtful rhetoric that seeks to minimize and ostracise our communities, this is our country too–and that’s not going to change.
From,
Vanessa Cardenas
Executive Director, America's Voice
