John,
Today, across the country, millions of Americans are taking to the streets to remind the world of a simple truth: in America, we don’t have kings.
And among them are thousands of Common Cause members like you.
From New York to Nashville to small towns in between, people from every walk of life are marching—peacefully, powerfully, and together—to say that our democracy belongs to the people, not any one man.
Before you head out today:
-
Wear your Common Cause gear and bring a sign
-
Take photos and post them on social media using #NoKings and #NoKingsDay

In June, we showed up 5 million strong in more than 2,100 cities. Now, that movement is growing even larger—because Donald Trump’s attacks on our democracy have only deepened our resolve.
The truth is, Trump wants to act like a dictator because he knows the people aren’t behind him. But the American people are fed up.
We’re fed up with watching leaders silence dissent and hoard power. Fed up with the hate and threats aimed at our communities. We’re done being told to sit down and take it while everything we care about is under attack.
John, this isn’t about party. It’s about principle. We’re standing shoulder to shoulder—Democrats, Republicans, and independents alike—to protect the idea that no one is above the law and that the people are the ultimate check on power.
No matter where you are today—marching in the streets, supporting from home, or simply sharing this message—you’re part of something powerful. You’re part of a movement that refuses to be silenced.
Because in America, the people rule.
With hope,
The team at Common Cause
P.S. If you can’t join an event in person today,
