Eighteen days into the Schumer Shutdown, and the Democrats continue to play political games. They have rejected a clean Continuing Resolution (CR) a staggering TEN times and even voted down the Department of Defense (DOD) appropriations bill – a direct move to deny pay to our troops.

This isn't about "saving healthcare," it's pure obstruction. The Democrats' demand is a $1.5 trillion ransom note filled with giveaways to big insurance companies and healthcare benefits for illegal aliens, a talking point designed to blame Republicans while you, the American taxpayer, are forced to foot the bill.

The good news? President Trump and OMB Director Russ Vought are fighting for the American people. They have taken decisive action, reallocating funds to secure pay for our troops, border patrol, law enforcement, and essential services like nutrition assistance for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

Yet, Democrats are now threatening to sue the administration for daring to ensure essential services and personnel are paid. Why? Because they care more about opposing President Trump than governing.

Democrats have shown their true colors by deliberately staging a crisis to appease their unhinged activist base, believing that by inflicting maximum pain on everyday Americans, they can force Republicans to cave. Thankfully, President Trump and Director Vought are prioritizing the American people over political games.

It’s Time to Take Back Our Country

In 2025 Virginia will hold elections for its statewide offices, and General Assembly. Heritage Action is proud to announce a major effort to take back the Virginia House of Delegates by targeting a number of key districts that will determine the balance of power in Richmond.

Heritage Action Executive Vice President Tiffany Justice emphasized the importance of this effort, stating, "Virginia is the frontline of the fight for America’s future. The only way to stop the Left’s radical takeover is to win elections.” The Virginia election illustrates the state of the modern Democrat party. At the top of the ticket, Democrat Abigail Spanberger is a radical leftist masquerading as a moderate, centrist politician. Meanwhile, the Democratic Attorney General candidate Jay Jones is still in the race despite his scandal-plagued campaign.

In recently revealed texts, Jones dreamed of violence against Republicans and their children – literally fantasizing about his Republican colleague’s wife having their child die in her arms, and then “pissing on their graves.” His texts are disqualifying for someone running to be Virginia’s top law enforcement officer. But Jones refuses to leave the race. That’s because he has the support of the radical left – amongst whom violence has become normalized.

Taking on the Antifa Network

Violent radicals are running rampant in many of our largest cities targeting any symbol of traditional American principles. President Trump understands what time it is in America – he designated Antifa a domestic terrorist organization and is mobilizing the National Guard to some of the hardest hit cities.

But does Congress share his urgency? That’s where you come in.

The National Guard may be able to restore order temporarily in these cities, but the Antifa network is far more than a bunch of angry communists throwing bricks through your local mom and pop shop window. It’s an intricate network of violent radicals funded by shadowy financiers via a web of liberal nonprofits. To keep our communities safe, we need long-term solutions.

The Trump administration is doing its best but is restricted by the inability to prosecute the perpetrators effectively. The reality is that the violence will not stop until the money fueling it is stopped. That’s why Congress must:

1. Launch a select committee to investigate the rise in left wing violence and untangle the web of nonprofits to identify the forces who are funding it.

2. Pass the Stop FUNDERS Act (S.2376 / H.R. 4620) to allow federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) charges to be brought against Antifa’s shadow network.

• Michael Kramer was published in The News & Advance (VA), demanding Senate Democrats stop the political theater and pass the common-sense, Republican clean CR.

• John DiBitetto was published in the Eagle-Tribune (MA), insisting that Senate Democrats stop toying with the American people and reopen the government.

• Colleen Waugh was published in the Chico-Enterprise Letter (CA), exposing Senate Democrats radical left-wing bargaining chip to reopen the government.
