** A note from David Levine, President & Co-Founder of ASBN
------------------------------------------------------------
Greetings,
In just 4 days, purpose-driven leaders from across the country will gather for the Business, Policy & Purpose: The Business of Democracy conference ([link removed]) .
On day 3, we will close the conference with a focus on putting collective action into practice. Since 2018, this has been the centerpiece of our work: gathering leaders like you, energizing business leaders and others, and sharing a range of diverse voices from those who work to transform values into action, while learning how to build our collective voice and power.
Join us and connect with leaders who are successfully building community power, engaging stakeholders, and creating lasting economic, social, environmental and democratic change through collective business leadership — all on Day 3!
I am most excited by the gathering of powerful women leaders we have assembled who are driving the work to protect our environment, economy and democracy.
Also, look for our Driving Community Empowerment: Tools for Investing in the Inclusive Economy session among the many others providing solutions at a time when we desperately need them.
Our aim is that this last day of the conference, building on the earlier two days, is the springboard for us to work closer together and take strategic action that our economy and this country needs.
Together we are smarter and stronger,

Content Track: People as Policy and Purpose
Identifying the root of an issue and embedding inclusionary practices into business models delivers tangible value. In 2022, McKinsey’s Diversity Wins Report found that companies in the top quartile of gender and ethnic diversity were 39% and 27% more likely to outperform financially than less diverse peers.
The BluePrint for tomorrow is one that eliminates blind spots, increases employee retention, builds consumer trust, and proves business resiliency. This session dives into how your business can be built to last and find its "rightful role" in balancing societal impact and value creation.
Join travel expert, author, and entrepreneur Rick Steves for a powerful call to action on the responsibility of corporations to defend democracy and uphold what it truly means to be an American. Drawing on five decades of travel and business leadership, Steves argues that “good business is good business” when it protects employees, communities, and the environment while prioritizing long-term resilience over short-term profit. He will challenge business leaders to recognize their role not just as economic actors but as guardians of democratic values, offering lessons from the road that reframe leadership as both a civic duty and a mandate for protecting our shared future.
