 John, I’m not asking for a contribution today — but I am asking you to stand with me. My race in OH-13 is one of the most competitive in the country, and the GOP is already attacking me on TV. As I write this, Republicans are redrawing congressional maps to unseat me. The GOP can’t win on policy, so they are trying to cheat their way into a victory.
John, I know how hard the people of Northeast Ohio work. I’ve seen it all my life. But growing up in Akron, I quickly learned that working families throughout our community aren’t given the same opportunities or a level playing field that others enjoy. That’s exactly why I entered a career in public service. Our community knows we deserve an advocate on the federal level — someone who isn’t afraid to stand up to people who are standing in the way of progress; someone who will advocate for our jobs, healthcare, and freedoms; and someone who will work to make the day to day a little bit easier. And that’s exactly what I’m trying to do, every day, in Washington. My promise to you is that I’ll always strive to be that type of leader, and that I’ll never stop fighting for the community I love. When it comes to fighting for Northeast Ohio, I’m only just getting started. But I can’t keep up this critical work if Republicans push me out of Congress.
