That’s not the beginning of a joke, John — although given my love of dad jokes, I totally get why you’d think that.

Actually, we’re preparing for our Knocktober Kickoff!

Starting next weekend, we’ll be knocking on doors and having conversations with Iowans about what’s at stake in this hotly contested governor’s race.

Knocking on doors really checks all the boxes for me, but the biggest thing is getting to look folks in the eye, listen to what they have to say, then make the case for why I believe I’m the best candidate to lead Iowa forward.

But as much as it pains me to say it, a ground game like this isn’t cheap. We need canvassing materials, travel to and from turf, supplies for volunteers, and staff to recruit and train canvassers… it adds up faster than you’d think.

This isn’t my first rodeo, so I know we’re going to need $15,000 to fund our Knocktober voter contact push. Will you help us kick off Knocktober by chipping in $25 today so that we’ve got the resources we need to talk to Iowans at their doors?
