John,

We can't begin to solve the environmental crisis without racial and
economic justice. This requires us to chip away at the historical
injustices within our transportation system, which has pumped dirty
tailpipe pollution into communities of color and fostered decades of
underinvestment in accessible and equitable public transit options.

Next Thursday, July 16, at 2pm ET / 11am PT, we have a special opportunity
to join the struggle for transit equity. A powerhouse group of transit and
racial justice leaders will unpack the links between transit equity and
racial and economic equity – and how you can help. Will you join us?

More than 10 years ago, Green For All began with a dream that millions of
Black and Brown youth would land in green jobs, not jails. Since then we
have continued to imagine and fight for a new green economy—an economy
where the people hit first and worst by crisis do not benefit last and
least from solutions.

Today’s crisis means there is an opportunity to rebuild America better
than it was before. Rebuilding starts with knowing what is broken and how
to fix it. That’s why our panelists will discuss the history of
inequitable transportation decisions across the U.S., the impact that
public transit has on access to economic opportunity, and how policymakers
and transit agencies can improve access and affordability for
transit-dependent riders now and after COVID-19.

If we are going to eradicate systematic and institutional racism, our
country must stop making decisions that hurt people of color and invest in
solutions like clean and equitable public transportation in communities
that need them most. That is what Dream Corps is all about.

next Thursday!
