You are invited to join us for our third African virtual peace conference on Zoom, happening on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28, 2025, from 3 to 5 PM (GMT). This annual free event is aimed this year at examining the role of Western imperialism in fueling wars in Africa, to assess its effects, and to highlight African struggles for sovereignty and equitable international cooperation.

The program for each of the two days includes a keynote lecture, a panel discussion, and exchanges. On the first day, the keynote lecture will be presented by Dr. Sellah King'Oro on the theme “Imperialism: History and current developments in Africa” . Three speakers will then discuss its manifestations in Africa.
The keynote lecture on the second day will be presented by Prof. Gnaka Lagoke on Pan-Africanism and expressions of “anti-Western sentiment in Africa". Three other panelists will discuss African resistance, Pan-Africanism, and the struggles for sovereignty. In the final session, Kathy Kelly, World BEYOND War Board President, will reflect on WBW's perspectives on imperialism.

Vous êtes invités à nous rejoindre sur Zoom pour notre troisième conférence virtuelle sur la paix en Afrique, qui se tiendra les jeudi 27 et vendredi 28 novembre 2025, de 15 h à 17 h (GMT). Cet événement annuel gratuit a pour objectif cette année d'examiner le rôle de l'impérialisme occidental dans l'alimentation des guerres en Afrique, d'évaluer ses effets et de mettre en lumière les luttes africaines pour la souveraineté et une coopération internationale équitable.

Le programme pour chacun des deux jours prévoit un exposé liminaire, un panel de discussion et des échanges. Le premier jour, l'exposé liminaire sera fait par Dr Sellah King’Oro, sur le thèmes "L’impérialisme occidental : histoire et actualité en Afrique". Trois intervenants échangeront ensuite sur ses manifestations en Afrique.
L'exposé liminaire du deuxième jour sera présenté par le Pr Gnaka Lagoke, sur le Panafricanisme et expressions du “sentiment anti-occidental en Afrique". Egalement, trois autres panelistes discuteront sur les Résistances africaines, le panafricanisme et les luttes pour la souveraineté. Pour terminer, la Présidente du Conseil d'administration de World BEYOND War, Kathy Kelly, partagera une réflexion sur les perspectives de l'organisation sur l’impérialisme.
