On the day I was sworn in as Governor, I talked about something we invented right here in Pennsylvania: Real freedom.

Real freedom means being treated with respect no matter who you are, where you come from, what you look like, who you love, or who you pray to.

Real freedom means our kids and families being safe and feeling safe at home, at school, and in their communities.

Real freedom means keeping our air and water clean, our economy strong, and the doors of opportunity open for all Pennsylvanians.

Real freedom means your fundamental rights are protected, not attacked by divisive, extreme politicians to score points.

Real freedom is what Pennsylvania is all about, John — and as your Governor, I’m sure as hell going to defend it with everything I’ve got.
