The House should impeach Barr because his flagrant lawbreaking and corruption threatens our democracy. But it’s also good politics.

Friend,

Trump’s Attorney General, William Barr, has repeatedly abused the law to advance Trump’s personal interests, not the country’s.

Our new polling shows that the American people understand that―and that they want him to be impeached!

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has so far resisted calls for accountability and oversight of AG Barr, saying that it should be settled in November. But that gives Trump and Barr free rein to meddle in the election for the next 4 months.

Send a letter to your Representative now: Impeach Attorney General William Barr!

Here’s what we know:

  • Barr suppressed the findings of the Mueller investigation
  • Barr has failed to investigate police departments across the country for killing unarmed Americans
  • Barr attempted to lessen the punishment for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who pled guilty to lying about his contacts with the Russian government
  • Barr promoted lawyers who were politically loyal to him while sidelining career civil servants
  • Barr tried to fire a District Attorney who had investigated individuals close to Trump
  • Barr believes in an all-powerful president and has attacked the independence of the Justice Department, preventing them from doing their jobs.

We polled each of these facts, and in every case, a plurality of voters favored impeachment.1 The House should impeach Barr because his flagrant lawbreaking and corruption threatens our democracy. But it’s also good politics.

Tell your Representative in Congress: Impeach William Barr!

Thanks,

Sean McElwee
