Hi John,

Polls continue to show favorable democratic movement in our district and a ratings change came in last week from the analysts of Sabato's Crystal Ball.

"— Rep. David Schweikert (R, AZ-6) moves from Likely Republican to Leans Republican — his Scottsdale-based district is very similar to many of the aforementioned Texas districts, and he continues to face a House Ethics Committee investigation that has cost him a considerable amount in legal fees. Democrats are still deciding on his opponent."

All signs are pointing toward a win in November, but to get there, we must first secure a strong victory in the upcoming August 4th primary.

Primaries give us the chance to voice concerns, ask the tough questions and ensure the best Democrat for the job is selected.

Primaries also signal the strength of our eventual nominee, which helps her bring in more resources to beat Rep. David Schweikert.

That's why we don't plan to just win this primary, we plan on an overwhelming win to remind everyone that what matters is the voice of the people.

Money alone isn't enough, only a movement with heart, a movement three years in the making, can beat Rep. Schweikert.

I am the only Democrat in this race who both lives here in our district and has the campaign experience and infrastructure to actually get this done.

We are ready.

How you can help

As Arizona leadership, including Rep. Schweikert, continues to fail us and risk our lives, this election is more critical than ever and we can't do it alone.

Thank you for standing with us and please stay safe.

In solidarity,
Anita Malik
