Movies are in my blood - my grandfather owned and ran movie theaters. I spent over two decades as a film producer and executive. And our district remains one of the epicenters of American entertainment.

So I would know: Trump’s tariffs aren’t the solution for the film industry.

I spoke with the Guardian this week about how to support the film industry, and why Trump’s efforts are misguided at best. I encourage you to read my interview here.

If we want to keep film production in America, we need a real solution like a national film tax credit, which would encourage millions of American jobs and small businesses.

I will continue to use my unique expertise to keep production home, and allow us to remain the entertainment leader of the world.
