Safeguarding the fundamental right to vote is a key component of our work across the country. With attacks on voting rights sweeping the nation, it’s important now more than ever before to recruit and invest in strong voter protection teams to protect voters in the 2026 election and beyond. The DNC is launching a training program specifically designed to train state party staff, organizers, legal professionals, and law students who are interested in voter protection work, and we need your help with sharing this application far and wide!
The DNC is excited to announce the return of the Voter Protection Campaign Readiness Bootcamp! We are seeking individuals interested in pursuing careers in voter protection. This training bootcamp is for Democrats of all backgrounds and skill levels who are interested in a Voter Protection position for the 2026 cycle and beyond.
This three-day bootcamp is free to attend, and all skill sets are welcome. The bootcamp will consist of two tracks: Voter Protection 101 and the Organizer to Voter Protection Pipeline. Voter Protection 101 is for individuals with limited knowledge and background in voter protection work, and for those with an interest in voting rights who want to learn how state parties and campaigns protect the voting process. This cohort may include attorneys, law school graduates, law students, and organizers interested in learning more about voter protection. The Organizer to Voter Protection Pipeline is for individuals who have worked on two or more campaigns or in a state party and are interested in learning how to transfer their skills to protect the vote.
Based on a participant's resume and the skills assessment, the Training and Civic Engagement and Voter Protection Departments (the “team”) will assign an applicant to the track that will maximize their learning experience during the boot camp. After the team notifies applicants of their acceptance into the program, they will receive information about their track placement.
The Campaign Readiness Bootcamp will begin on Thursday evening, November 13, and conclude on Saturday evening, November 15. The deadline toapply is November 7, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET.
You can share this application with those interested in gaining voter protection experience ahead of the 2026 election. We’ll send along a social media toolkit for this program next week to help you share this exciting opportunity.
