John, someone asked me recently, “What song do you listen to to hype yourself up?” It was honestly a great question, one that I don’t get asked too often.

Right now? It has to be “LET HER COOK” by GloRilla. I love the energy she brings to every song, but the lyrics in this one in particular give me what I need as I walk into Congress to fight for the people of IL-14.

I’ll be honest, John — it’s really easy to feel defeated these days. But the people of IL-14 sent me to Washington to fight for them, and just like Glo says, I’m on a mission.

I’m on a mission to stand up to the wrecking ball that the GOP is taking to the things that working people rely on. I’m on a mission to protect Social Security and affordable health care while Republicans shove it to the chopping block to curry favor with billionaires.
