John,

I want to update you on our work to ban the use of tear gas in the United
States.

In the weeks since Robert Reich first reached out to ask DFA members to
join his call for the banning of tear gas, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
introduced a bill to do just that.

And tens of thousands of DFA members have signed on as Citizen-Cosponsors.

But we cannot lose momentum now. We need to make sure AOC has an
overwhelming surge of grassroots support behind this legislation.

[ [link removed] ]Will you add your name next to AOC’s as a Citizen Co-sponsor of her
bill to ban tear gas? We need to keep up the pressure on Congress to take
this chemical weapon off our streets >>

ADD YOUR NAME: [link removed]

Tear gas is a chemical weapon banned in war by the Geneva Protocol. It has
no place in American communities.

With overwhelming grassroots support, we can make AOC’s bill law and take
this chemical weapon out of the hands of police departments and off our
streets.

Thank you for raising your voice on this today,

— Charles
