I have some pretty incredible news to share.

This grassroots team raised over $17 million from April to June. And here’s something else incredible: No Senate campaign in history has ever raised as much in the April to June reporting period.

But when I talk to people about why I believe we can win this election, it’s not that big dollar sign I point to. It’s how we got there.

A year ago tomorrow, I announced my candidacy to take on Mitch McConnell for United States Senate. Since that day, we’ve built a truly grassroots campaign—one person, one donation at a time. People have chipped in over 1 million donations, with the average contribution at just $39. For an underdog race like ours, that’s simply unprecedented.

That’s what you have to do when you know your opponent will have every dirty special interest ready to write big checks. The other side is going to spend millions of dollars smearing me and this team.

But because of you, they’re also going to face a campaign that can, and will, fight back—every single time.
