Eretz HaKodesh Mourns the Passing of Rabbi Moshe Hauer zt”l
24 Tishrei 5786 – October 16, 2025

The movement of Eretz HaKodesh joins the countless colleagues and admirers of Rabbi Moshe Hauer zt”l in mourning his sudden and heartbreaking passing.
Rabbi Hauer, who served as Executive Vice President of the Orthodox Union, was one of the foremost Torah and communal leaders of our generation.

Rabbi Hauer zt”l was a rare individual — a true talmid chochom, a man of deep faith, humility, and boundless care for every Jew and for every matter affecting the world of Torah and Jewish life, both in Eretz Yisroel and throughout the Diaspora.
He was a faithful partner and a devoted nosei b’ol im chaveiro, bearing the needs of the broader community with responsibility, compassion, and love. Constantly, he sought the unifying path — one that uplifts, inspires, and strengthens Torah values for the benefit of all.

In every encounter and conversation, his noble character, humility, and wide heart shone through. His very name became synonymous with dedication, deep thought, and tireless service on behalf of the tzibbur.

At Eretz HaKodesh, we were privileged to witness firsthand his genuine partnership and heartfelt involvement in every initiative that sought to strengthen Jewish identity and communal responsibility.
Together with his many colleagues and admirers, we feel a profound sense of loss and spiritual orphanhood. His absence is already deeply felt, and his passing is a heavy loss for Klal Yisroel.

Yehi zichro baruch — may his memory be a blessing.
May Hashem comfort his beloved family and all who were illuminated and inspired by his Torah and deeds.
