Fellow Kansan,

Nearly one month ago, House Republicans passed a clean, seven-week continuing resolution that would allow the government to function as Congress finishes up the appropriations process. Unfortunately, for weeks now, Washington Democrats have rejected the funding bill, demanding $1.5 trillion in new spending for unrelated health care policy issues.

My offices remain open and ready to assist while Democrats decide whether to come to the table and reopen the government.

I do not serve in Congress to be a caretaker in the slow demise of America— I serve to fight and work to make it stronger. That’s what I am doing while believing our brightest days are yet to come.

Yours in service,

Delivering Peace Through Strength

President Trump’s historic deal between Israel and Gaza is a once-in-a-generation achievement that establishes a path to peace in the Middle East. This milestone, the first phase of President Trump’s Middle East peace plan, reminds the world that American strength brings peace, not chaos. Since his first term in office, President Trump has been committed to pursuing peace through strength, and the end of the Israel-Hamas war solidifies President Trump’s legacy as the Peace President.

For decades, American presidents have talked about peace in the Middle East. President Trump is actually delivering on it. His Administration’s leadership and resolve is proving once again that when America leads with strength, the world is safer. I stand firmly with Israel, and I am grateful for President Trump’s continued commitment to our allies and to lasting peace in the region.

Congressional Internship Opportunities

My first job on Capitol Hill was an internship with a Kansas congressman. Every year, I offer the same experience to students across the Big First. Working in Congress is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the impacts of public policy and the role congressional offices play in helping Kansans on a daily basis.

The application for spring internships in my office is open, and the deadline to apply is coming up soon on October 24, 2025. If you know a college student who would benefit from an internship in my office, encourage them to apply today.
