Today, I wanted to take a moment to send you a longer, personal message about my parents, my kids, and why I’m fighting so hard to stop Donald Trump. I hope you’ll read until the very end, and then chip in $25 to power my campaign. >> My family moved here from India when I was a baby in search of the American Dream. As immigrants, my parents worked incredibly hard to give us a better life, but when my father suddenly lost his income, we fell on hard times.  So, we lived for a time in public housing to keep a roof over our heads and depended on SNAP to eat. And thanks to these programs and a lot of hard work, we got back on our feet and achieved our American Dream. That’s something I’ll never take for granted. To this day, my father always tells me: “Think of the greatness of this country. Whatever you do, make sure this country is there for the next families who need it”. That’s always been my mission statement in public service. But now, all of that is under threat: Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” is slashing the social safety net to the tune of TRILLIONS of dollars. Republicans are kicking MILLIONS of the most vulnerable Americans off their healthcare and food assistance. Children are being separated from their parents. The National Guard is being deployed against US Citizens. That’s not the America my family believed so hard in, John.  My parent’s example has always inspired me. But now, as a father myself, I’m more determined than ever to stand up to bullies like Donald Trump. As you can tell, this fight is deeply personal to me. I’m going to fight Donald Trump and his corrupt cronies with everything I have. But I can’t do it alone.
