Good morning!
It feels like fall has officially arrived with cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and, yes, plenty of rain. I hope you have enjoyed the transition time, whether by going to an apple orchard, a pumpkin patch, or something similar. It has been a busy fall for me so far, and I am grateful to share some of what I have been up to with you!
Fraud in St. Paul
Fraud has been and continues to be a major topic of conversation, especially as the Fraud & Oversight Committee has met regularly over the interim period.
This week’s fraud committee hearing revealed troubling information about Minnesota’s election process, including reports that some individuals may be able to register or vote using only a driver’s license. Because a driver’s license can be obtained without strict proof of eligibility, this creates serious concerns about voter verification. Election integrity is foundational to our democracy, and safeguards must be in place to block fraud before it can happen. I will continue supporting efforts to strengthen voter ID laws and ensure our elections are secure, fair, and trusted by all Minnesotans.

Touring Capital Investment Projects
Last week, we wrapped up our second of five capital investment (bonding) tours. Now, we have toured both the Northwest and Northeast parts of the state and I have some photos to share!
Check out these slideshows that we put together to see some of the stops and projects that we've seen so far. And, stay tuned for more since we have several other tours on the calendar this fall.

UMN Alumni Social
Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to attend the University of Minnesota Alumni social at the Legacy of the Lakes Museum in Alexandria. Thanks to my fellow legislators who attended with me! It was a great evening connecting with local alumni, hearing their stories, and celebrating the positive impact University of Minnesota graduates continue to have in communities across our region. It was great to meet all of you, thank you for the warm welcome.
