Rachel Reeves promised during the General Election last year not to increase taxes. It took her less than four months to break that promise.

She then promised not to do so again. But rising borrowing costs, and unfunded spending means that she’ll have to break that promise. Again.

So she’s set the date for her Budget. November 26th.
Putting off the inevitable betrayal to as late as possible and subjecting the country to months of uncertainty.

I know it’s tempting to feel powerless in the face of Labour’s supermajority.

They have three times as many MPs as the Conservatives, and it’s tempting to feel like they can do what they want.
But working together we can, and we have, forced Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves to listen.

When Labour took away Winter Fuel Payments from vulnerable pensioners, we organised over 330,000 petition signatories. And Labour U-turned. Meaning as the weather gets colder, pensioners won’t be left out in the cold again.

When they blocked a national inquiry into grooming gangs, we worked with victims. And got him to U-turn again. Putting victims one step closer to genuine justice.
Whatever taxes Rachel puts up this November, we must be ready to respond.

Because we can force her to change course. But only with your support.
