We just won in New Orleans! Helena Moreno has been elected mayor, earning 55% of the vote in a field of multiple strong contenders and avoiding a runoff entirely. This is a historic win. She will be the city's first Latina mayor!
This past week, two of our gubernatorial candidates, Mikie Sherrill (NJ) and Abigail Spanberger (VA), shined in their respective debates. They demonstrated exactly what strong, capable leadership looks like. Watching them handle tough questions with grace and grit was inspiring.
Here's the thing: In two weeks, we have the opportunity to elect Mikie and Abigail as the chief executives of these two key states. But beyond that, we also have the opportunity to send a message to Republicans that we're not backing down — we're going to win races in 2025, 2026, and beyond that help us take back power across the country.
