We knew that this contest was always going to be between someone of, by, and for the people versus the same tired old wealthy elites who think they own our government—and now, another one of these out of touch politicians wants to spend unlimited amounts of his own money to buy this seat in Congress.
This isn’t about denigrating anyone with money or means. This is about values. No one should have an advantage in a free and fair election simply because they are rich and have millions of dollars to dump into their own campaign.
Our broken system allows for unlimited self-funding from candidates in the name of “free speech.” But the last time I checked, it was the voices and needs of everyday working people that aren’t being heard—not the wealthy.
This campaign is leading the pack. We have the momentum. We have the support of thousands of individuals. And we’re winning with a message of change, reform, and bringing the focus of our government back to the needs of the people.
