As you read this, Californians are casting their votes on Proposition 50, a ballot measure that, if passed, would temporarily redraw the state’s congressional maps—and potentially decide control of the House in 2026.

Our goal is to reach nearly 1 million voters in California and turn them out to vote. Thousands of Vote Forward volunteers have already signed up, and now we need your help to cross the finish line.

We’re hosting six virtual training sessions between Friday, October 17th, and Monday, October 27th. In just 30 minutes, you’ll learn how to get started writing letters to voters, what to write (and what actually moves voters), and how to prepare your letters.

Our strategic experiments have shown that personal, handwritten letters can boost voter turnout in off-year elections like this one. Plus, it’s a fun, simple way to help strengthen democracy.
