Things have escalated significantly and I want you to hear directly from me what’s happening, and why it matters:

First: Trump's DOJ demanded Maine share personal, sensitive voter information – and the sensitive, personal voter information of every voter in Maine. I refused, because your privacy matters.

Then: A leading Republican candidate for Governor, Bobby Charles, called on Kash Patel and the FBI to investigate me for refusing to give up voter data.

Then: The Republican National Committee jumped in – spreading false claims, attacking Maine’s safe and secure elections and called on the Trump Administration’s Department of Justice to investigate me.

Now: The Trump DOJ is suing me and the State of Maine to force us to hand over voter data. Make no mistake: This is political – and I refuse to back down. 

This is much bigger than one lawsuit. It’s about building a Maine where no authoritarian can override your rights – and that’s the leadership I’m ready to bring as Governor.
