Herbert,

A recent report from Politico exposed racist, homophobic, and antisemitic messages from Young Republicans across the country.

But according to Elise Stefanik, these Young Republicans were the “backbone” of their party.

She previously praised them for their “tremendous leadership,” called this new generation of leadership “critical” to her mission, and just yesterday labeled the Politico report a “hit piece.”

And to make matters worse, JD Vance defended them, saying, “kids do stupid things.”

I want to make it clear: I disagree with Elise Stefanik and JD Vance.

These weren’t just “kids” or even just college students – they were grown adults who should know better, but still felt comfortable using slurs because they thought there would be no consequences.

Our elected officials should be standing against hate speech, not defending it. Will you chip in $3 or more to my campaign today to help me champion fairness, accountability, and transparency in Washington?
