The Village’s free leaf collection begins next week on Oct. 20 and continues through Nov. 24.

Collection will follow the designated zone schedule:
Zone A: Oct. 20 and Nov. 3
Zone B: Oct. 20 and Nov.10
Zone C: Oct. 27 and Nov. 17

For the best service, please place your leaves in piles on the parkway grass near the curb by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week. Christmas Walk Vendors

Christmas walk

The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner, and we are inviting local vendors, artisans and small businesses to help make this year’s Christmas Walk on Dec. 5 the most festive yet.

This cherished community event draws hundreds of families to downtown Oswego and offers a valuable opportunity for vendors to showcase their products and connect with local shoppers during the holiday season.

Vendor spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly. We are looking for a variety of offerings, including handcrafted goods, seasonal treats and unique gift items that add to the festive spirit.

If you are ready to be part of this special event and grow your local presence, we encourage you to apply. Click here for more information and to secure your spot. [ [link removed] ]

Art at Village Hall

Art at Village Hall

Artists and curators are invited to apply for the 2026 Art at Village Hall exhibition series presented by the Oswego Cultural Arts Commission.

This opportunity is open to individual artists and collectives interested in sharing their work with the Oswego community. Four exhibit slots are available throughout the year, each offering a chance to display original artwork in the Village Hall lobby. The space is bright, welcoming and regularly visited by the public.

Each exhibition remains on view for several weeks. All mediums and styles are welcome, with a focus on work that inspires, engages, or reflects the unique perspectives of the region’s creative community.

To be considered, submit your applications here by Dec. 1! [ [link removed] ]

Halloween Hours

As superheroes, goblins, ghosts and ghouls come alive on Oct. 31, remember the Village’s recommended trick-or-treating hours are 3:30 to 8 p.m.

Here are a few steps parents and guardians can take to ensure their children’s safety.

* Ensure children trick-or-treat only during this time frame.
* Be safe and only visit homes with front door lights on.
* Make sure masks do not block children’s front and side vision.
* If you are trick-or-treating after dark, use reflective tape on costumes and carry a flashlight.
* Young children should be accompanied by a responsible adult while out.
* Know the routes that older, unaccompanied children are planning to take and set a time for them to be home.
* Children should go out in groups rather than by themselves.
* Examine the treats you children have collected. While tampering with Halloween treats is rare, be vigilant for any unusual packaging.

Have a spooktacular Halloween!
