It’s unbelievable. Kansas Republicans just admitted it. Out in the open.

They’re handing control of Kansas’ redistricting process directly to the Trump White House. No input from voters. No feedback from elected officials who actually live… in Kansas.

There’s a lot of borderline incomprehensible politician-speak in that quote, so allow us to translate:

Kansans will have no power over our state’s own Congressional maps. Instead, Donald Trump’s White House will have the final say over whose voices are heard in Washington — and whose isn’t.

As people who care about the future of our democracy, we can spend these next few weeks doomscrolling and wringing our hands about what comes next — or we can take action.
